Been having a very laid back weekend, and reading my many books that I have lying next to the bed. I should really just read one book and finish it; but find myself having ADD lately and have been reading many books at the same time. I am sure we've all have been guilty of this at some point. Anyways, I came by this interesting passage and thought I would share -

Yes, Mindy in her full glory and Stefan still says she is "big boned." HELLO? SHE IS A GIANT BALL WITH A TINY HEAD AND FEET!

I often wonder whether they put stuff into lip balm that makes it so addictive. I mean, I always have to have it on or my lips get so chapped. Every bag, jacket, coat I have — even pants, anything that has a pocket — always has lip balm because I am so afraid of not having moisturized lips. Stefan is forever rescuing some errant chapstick from the dryer. Anyways, today for some reason I couldn't find any in any pockets! So I had to brave the freaking cold today to get me some chapstick. I obviously need help.

Does anyone else watch that show The Amazing Race and cringe at how some of these people treat one another? It's a great way to watch human nature react under extreme duress and at the same time it shows the tremendous resilience of a person's will to succeed.

So I am working with the TV on, and they are having some Hollywood extreme surgery show on TLC. There is some mom who totally encouraged her 16 year old daughter to get liposuction instead of working out. And they show how the young girl got a job after; because she is so much more "confident". And then, there is some guy is trying to pitch the whole "well if you live in LA, looks are everything." The guy gets his penis enlarged. After surgery, he was like, "I can take on the world." Yeah buddy, but you're still a prick inside so what difference do you think those extra two inches made? I just don't get it.

I have never been a big dessert fan, much to my mother's despair as she is an incredible baker. Why she should wonder why I don't eat goodies is beyond me because she never really let me have much when I was growing up.

I don't know how he does it, but Stefan can give you this look that makes you feel like you're hurting the little eight year old boy inside him. This big, grown up man can make his big blue eyes turn all sad and make you feel so wretched. He just read the "Brita and Dishes" entry and said, " Don't complain about me on your blog! I'm your lover!" This is why I love him and how he gets away with MURDER.

It just really really bugs me when I go to the fridge to get a drink of water and there is only half a glass of water left in our ginormous Brita. Especially since the rule in our household in regards to the Brita is - If you kill it, fill it. Another rule is, if I cook, you clean. And there are still dirty dishes in the sink.

The title is courtesy of my pal Marie who likes to say that a lot. I wonder why the heck it cost the US government $40 million dollars to swear their president in? They didn't have better things to do with their money? And where is that money spent? On clothing his daughters and wife in Oscar de la Renta clothing and custom made Stuart Weitzman shoes? Or on catering to the even richer in the crowd? Or on his speechwriters who are writing the same old boring speech he always does. Either way, the money was wasted.

You know I feel horrible about the Tsunami crisis in South East Asia as I am sure everyone else does. I mean, I grew up in South East Asia and I know firsthand the problems that the people face. But has the whole world forgotten about Africa? As always?

Bad spelling is just a sign of pure laziness. You can always look up the word if you are not sure and please don't tell me you can always use spellcheck because sometimes that doesn't always work. The English language has far too many nuances and subtleties for a computer to catch on and PEOPLE, "A LOT" IS TWO WORDS, you feckin' moron!

I think every man should read D.H Lawrence's Sons and Lovers before committing to a lasting relationship with anyone. ESPECIALLY IF THAT RELATIONSHIP INVOLVES A WOMAN.

I have a problem with Hillary Duff. She bugs me. She's Too Too. I mean TOO perky, TOO Barbie, tries TOO hard, TOO squeeky clean. But the thing that bugs me the most is her hair. I mean the girl has loads of money, right? So you'd think she could find a colourist who would give her different shades or highlights in her hair. No one's hair is just one shade! Sorry, sorry I know, she has red streaks now, but the blonde part is still just one shade! Girl, you gotta fire your colourist!

You know what ad on TV I am really digging right now? That new Visa ad when the girl walks around and looks at shoes and they fall off the shelves and start walking after her and when she gets home, her boyfriend opens the door and she shrugs and says- they followed me home!
I remember when it first aired, I was channel surfing (as usual) and Stef was reading a magazine next to me. After watching it, I whipped around to look at him and he just raised an eyebrow that spoke a thousand words - it was, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THAT EXCUSE ON ME!

Moo-moos to Stefan, the boy. The rock of gibraltar, the sports-enthusiast(maniac), the uber-laundry man, the silent funny man, the intellectual, the pickiest eater in all the world, the MVP in our relationship, the best boyfriend in the world.
Happy Birthday!
You are forever young to me!

Just got sent this pic by the beloved sis-in-law (not said at all sarcastically cos I do love her! She's a saint for taking my absent-minded brother into her life.) of my table setting at Christmas.

Poor Martha! I still think she got hosed. But I still love her....

I often wonder what it must be like to live the celebrity life. Sure, it must be nice to have all that money and other perks but the downside of having no privacy is something I don't think I could live with.

So.... Stefan and I share a laptop. I guess "share" isn't a very good word for it since the laptop belongs to him and is for his work, but regardless. Anyways, his laptop is due for an upgrade as it keeps dying and my argument is that the most important files for him to save in case of a computer crash are our music files, because you know, it took me a long time to get it together. He keeps saying his work files are more important and the music files are way too huge. I DISAGREE.

So I have decided that the word moo-moo should also encompass declarations of mushiness to your loved one. Only because I was rethinking my title - moo-moos to min-min and it didn't really make any sense to anyone else but me.

You know how I said I love Mindy, my cat? I was just thinking about that crazy lady who cloned her cat for $50K and let me tell you I don't love Mindy THAT much. It's not even about the love, it's about me not believing that cloning can ever replicate a person's soul/character/essence whatever it is that makes every living thing unique. And besides has this lady not heard of other more pressing issues that she can use her money for? I can name a few - Tsunami disaster, AIDs crisis in Africa, even some after school program in her city that she can help fund? Sheesh!

Someone at work has been sick with a really bad cold all week last week and I have been valiantly fighting it off with you know, the usual vitamin C and all that good stuff. Anyways, I lost the good fight - I am so sick today. In fact, I think this is the worst cold I have had in a very long time. I think it might possibly even be the flu. Anyways, I have two things to say - does anyone know if Kleenex sells their stock to the public, (cos I wanna buy some)and spend the extra money buying the expensive 3 ply Kleenex with lotion. I have gone through 3 boxes and I still have skin on my nose. Miracle.

So I was here typing all my Mindy entries when I heard some rustling coming from our recycling box. Do I go up and inspect the rustling? No, I wake Mindy up from her daybed and make her go and check it out. Although overweight, Mindy is still quite the alert little hunter. She sussed the situation out for about 12 minutes, then sauntered off in her so elegant way and did her little bark(yes, she does little barks for attention) "Ufh! Ufh!" to indicate everything was ok and went back to bed. I cannot believe I woke up my cat to go check out the situation whilst I stood on the office chair. Pathetic!

Mindy is fat, obese actually. There I have said it out loud. I am not in denial, unlike Stefan who still tells everyone that she is big-boned. She is not! STEFAN, SHE IS FAT!! CAN YOU HEAR ME? She is almost the same weight as a toddler for goodness sake!!

OK - I just cannot say enough about noodle soup other than the fact that it really is the ultimate meal. Comforting and filling at the same time. Is there anything more delicious than rice noodles with ginger infused chicken broth, crunchy beansprouts, bits of fragrant cilantro and a touch of thai bird chillies? I would take a photo of my dinner but Stef went out and took the camera with him, I have no idea why. Note to self - you also cannot share a digital camera.

I have often been accused of not sharing and I have to tell you that I quite resent that accusation. I do share, I just don't share certain things, blame it on the "youngest child" syndrome where I've had to share practically everything all my life.
So here I am - sharing myself through this blog.
