Amazing Race

Does anyone else watch that show The Amazing Race and cringe at how some of these people treat one another? It's a great way to watch human nature react under extreme duress and at the same time it shows the tremendous resilience of a person's will to succeed.

I always think I might be interested to do the show. I love the idea of going to all these amazing cities and doing all those interesting tasks that are made tailored to the particular culture you're in. I always like to think that Stefan and I would do extremely well in that show.

Pros - We're both extremely competitive, we like to win, we're pretty athletic (Stef is way more than me) and adventurous when it comes to physical stuff, we both love travelling, we're really yin yang when it comes to balancing each other out, he's far better at strategic and logical puzzles and I am great at visual solutions, when I freak out then he's the buddha and vice versa.

Cons - We're both extremely competitive, especially with each other, we like to win too much, Stef may be fast on the field when he is chasing something but he is the slowest walking man alive especially in airports, he is not a particularly adventurous eater so he might starve in non-european countries, I can get quite negative when things are not going my way, and we tend to argue on whose solution to a problem is best

Conclusion - We have both agreed that it would be a horrible idea if we ever did get on the show because we would most likely (a) kill one another in the process of trying to win the show (b) break up in the middle of the show (c) annoy one another to death (d) all of the above. So for the best interest of our relationship, we have vowed never to ever try to enter the competition.
