Another year, another Oscar presentation. Chris Rock totally rocks. He was funny, irreverant and no one was left out in his quick witted barbs for the opening scene.

Ok, but here are the goodies - worst and best dressed. Everyone in general looked very good, as they should with all their free clothes, makeup and spa pampering. I am always shocked when someone manages to look bad with all that help.

So, not in any particular order, here is my pick for best dressed:

Beyonce Knowles - I want to be Beyonce, honest to God, just her ability to sing is unbelievably admirable. But for someone so young, she is always such an amazing dresser, understated and elegant on the red carpet and vibrant for her performances.

Cate Blanchett - The woman can do no wrong in my eyes. Stef thought she was too much all one shade, but I just felt that her choice of dress was such a fresh change to all the dark, jewelled colours. And I loved that she wasn't completely draped in gaudy jewelry.

Kristen Dunst - I have to admit that I have never been a huge fan of Kristen Dunst, but I just thought she looked so beautiful. Her platinum chopped, blonde bob, just set off her gorgeous black lace dress perfectly. My only complaint was her weird chunky modern watch that she chose to wear with her outfit clashed with her vintage look.

Halle Berry - She looked so good with her simple, easy hair, gorgeous silver dress draped so perfectly around her ever perfect body and gorgeous earrings. She was simply a vision in silver.

Kate Winslet - She just looked so beautiful in her stunning cobalt dress, and her soft waves around her face - she just really radiated and reminded me of old movie star glamour.

Sophie Okenato - I don't know whether it was her radiant genuine smile that just really brought her whole outfit to life, but she just looked beautiful in her clean, bustier strapless dress especially with the smattering of jewels in her hair.

Natalie Portman - She is such a wonderful dresser. I think her dress really was true to her own style, the colour was so luminescent against her skin and the jewels in her hair just set her whole look off perfectly.

Sandra Oh - cheers to the hometown girl, who dared to wear bright red and she looked just absolutely stunning in it.

Special Mentions To The Men - I always think it's rather unfair but it is so much easier for the guys to look good as there is not much to their outfits. However, there were some men who I felt stood out in the crowd and they were - Mike Myers (for his new great haircut), Orlando Bloom (for his dashing three piece suit), Jamie Foxx (for rockin' a navy pinstripe suit), Chris Rock and P. Diddy, Mr Sean John himself (both dressed in Sean Jean).

Here is the worst dressed list (there wasn't so many, no one has ever bungled it so badly after Bjork's dead bird outfit).

Renee Zellweger - She was just really blah in her red dress, too skinny, her hair was too goth, just really nothing spectacular.

Scarlett Johanson - It looks like yesterday's It girl is no longer. Her outfit was just so boring and she looked so uncomfortable in her ensemble. However, the thing that made her outfit completely horrible was the bird nest that was her hair.

Penelope Cruz - She really would have been a best dressed if it wasn't for the ginormous bow on her backside.

Salma Hayek - Her dress had way too many bows and contraptions on it. She just looked like a giant, navy trussed up turkey. Pity really, as she is usually so gorgeous.

Imelda Stauton - Her uneven hemmed dress just looked like a really bad throwback of the eighties and her skunky highlight didn't help either.

Melanie Griffith - her dress was super out of date, she just looked shapeless in her seafoam beaded dress, like a bridesmaid one too may times.

Laura Linney - I have no idea why everyone is so ga-ga over Laura but she never impresses me. Her outfit was just too much, and I think it would have been fine had she just stuck to just the dress, or just the jewelry, or just the hair but the combination of all three was just overkill.

This doesn't have anything to do with best or worst dressed but I have to make a special mention to Julia Roberts, who looked really skinny for someone who just had twins, but did you see the size of her enormous tits? Her cups just runneth over and over!
