Do you sense that sometimes men think that they are on some sort of higher moral ground because they think women are on some kind of hormonal roller-coaster? I hate that! I hate it when Stef sometimes looks at me and you know he's thinking in his head, "Oh, it's her PMSing!" He's not dumb enough to say it but I know he's thinking it. My brothers used to do it all the time as well and it used to drive me insane.
Well boys, I hate to say it but you don't have the monopoly on the "my partner is crazy, it's her time of the month" excuse. You too, go through some sort of chemical imbalance each month when you're unexplainably grumpy for no particular reason. I like to call it SRH or Sperm Retention Headache. Believe it or not, you do have monthly moments of insanity.
Last week, Stef and I had a doozy of a fight and it was so unbelievably ridiculous and just plain DUMB, that I won't even bother repeating what it was about. Regardless, I think that particular week seemed to be his "time of the month." Unfortunately for me and quite a number of my girlfriends, it was also their boyfriends' "time of month." Stories about fights over a misplaced shoe, whose turn it was to change the Brita filter, what time was the best time for dinner that particular day were filtering through my email all day, with the same theme,".... you know, he seems to only act this way at this time of the month..." HAH!
The thing is, men should admit more often that they also go through some sort of hormonal thing that makes them not act like themselves, then it would be more tolerable.
