little bitty girl

Sundays are usually not big TV days for me, it's usually a reading day. Fortunately for me, I stumbled onto a little gem of a show called Grey's Anatomy, on ABC and I am so hooked!!

I know that there are lots of those ER-type shows out there, but for some reason, I have been really into this show. The writing is witty and characters are complex. Best is Canadian-born (you gotta be proud when they're talented. I still don't get the craze over Celine but that's a whole other story) Sandra Oh, who is just sizzling and pops every time she is on screen. I hope that the writing continues to be good, so many shows die after the third season. (Like The West Wing, what happened...)

Another great thing is the soundtrack, it's interesting and not so mainstream cheeseball a la O.C, you know what I am talking about.

Unfortunately for me, the one blight to the show is the star itself, Ellen Pompeo, as Meredith Grey. She plays her character well enough but she always ends up being a little blah. So me no likey her so much.

I guess for me, she's a little unconvincing as her character, I realize that student doctors are supposed to look perpetually tired and haggard due to stress and long work hours, (trust me, I have a lot of doctor friends, I know what they look like) but to me, she just looks old and haggard...
