little bitty girl

I was originally going to lie about this because sometimes I do that - it's a weird thing I have about waiting to hear or see people's reactions to something I do before confessing to actually doing it. Maybe because I think so many of my friends are so super talented and I am a little mediocre in comparison especially when it comes to crafty things.

However, I am really proud of what I did here so I had to be honest and say, "I DID IT!" It was my girlfriend Marie's birthday last month and the last time I saw she had made a comment about how I always wear jewelry and how she wishes she had some type of accessory that she liked wearing as well. I used to dabble in jewelry making years ago and did sell to some stores so I thought that I would try.

So, I made her the two bracelets (Yes, I linked them all by hand...) based from one that I have but made it Marie-esque with fun colours and vintage kitsh charms, and she LOVED it! I am really happy that she did and it was cool because it got me all inspired to do stuff with my vintage beads that I collect. The earrings were for me, cos I'm like that and for every gift I give to someone, I have to give me one too.
