I am a hairless wonder, a true-au-natural, hairless wonder. I mean other than the parts (part) where you're suppose to have some, I really don't have much body hair. The ones that I do, are really super fine so you barely see them.

Stefan was supposed to have arrived in Brisbane by 4 p.m Toronto time yesterday. Of course I didn't expect him to call me the minute he arrived, but as the night hours crept up, I started worrying a little. He finally called at around twelve or so, sounding very relaxed and happy. It was so good to hear his voice.
They had arrived and had breakfast. Then went for a run on the beach, played ultimate frisbee, went for a swim in the ocean and was now at a pub.
Thanks for having all that fun, while I was waiting for your call!
Actually, I wasn't that mad as I was out with a girlfriend but really, isn't this just such typical boy behaviour?

We share a communal washroom at work with three other offices. They're all rather small offices that we rarely ever see one another.
Anyway, when I went to pee today someone left a very streaky, poo-stained bowl. It was SO gross. Who does that? Why wouldn't they wait and then flush again? So anyways, I pee-ed at the other stall and then flushed the poopy toilet. And the stains were gone.
The only reason why I did that is because I don't want to bump into someone else in the hallway and for the next person to come in, to think that it was me who did it. Shee-esh!

I am not usually a big complainer. I know how sometimes I tend to whine on this site. But it's my site and I can whine if I want to.
The truth is, I know some people who always seem to be complaining and it drives me crazy. Especially when I am with them. Because usually the person that they're complaining to will also give me the dirty eye, even though I haven't said a single thing. Guilty by association. I must say that the people who complain the most seem to get a lot of perks due to all the crying and complaining.

Stefan left today. I saw him off at the airport. I was all Miss "LL Cool Jane" as he was surrounded by his teamates. I didn't want to make him look soft. But he was being very sweet and didn't care that the guys were there. Now, I wished I hugged and kissed him longer. It was sad for me to see the team off. Especially, when so many expected me to be on the trip as well. I worked late today so that I wouldn't have to deal with an empty apartment. An angry and hungry Mindy was waiting for me at the door. She pooped on the bathroom mat. She has anger management issues like everyone else in this household.
We can't wait until Stefan comes home.

I was on my weekly donation route to the public library on the Spadina streetcar this afternoon when I noticed a heavily pregnant woman, holding a toddler come on. I gave her a look, to come and get my seat and she started coming over and as soon as I got up, some bitch slithered her bony ass in.
I would have understood, (only slightly) if this person was a teenager as you know, they're a little self-absorbed at that age, (I know that I was anyways...) but she was a full grown adult. You would think she would know better. So I told her that I had actually gotten up for the pregnant lady and the cow had the audacity to look me over, look over the pregnant woman and then proceed to tell me to mind my own business as she had had a really bad day.
If it hadn't been my stop, or the fact that the pregnant lady was supremely embarassed by all the attention she was suddenly getting, or that I am also now an adult and realize that there are consequences to my actions, (like lawsuits and assault charges) I would have punched her in the eye.
I hope some car ran over her fucking toes when she got off that streetcar.
GRRR!!! SO MAD!
The moral of the story is that it really doesn't kill you to be kind to your fellow human beings and KARMA will eventually come and bite you in the ass.

So, Stefan's been at this Aussie Rules Footy thing for about eleven years now and it's something he really enjoys. For the last five years that we've been together, it's also become an important part of my life. I've been to almost every game that he has played on including his International tournaments.
So, it's not completely out of the ordinary that I also know other players on other teams. There is one particular other team where I know and am friendly with most of the players. For the past month, every time I ask one of the guys how their girlfriends are, they look a little sheepish and tell me that they've broken up! How odd!
Is there something in the gatorade that the team is drinking?

For some reason, I was sure that I had pre-ordered the latest Harry Potter book but obviously, I didn't because it's not here. Either that or Amazon.com just royally screwed me over. I should really try to look through my old credit card receipts just to double check but I really cannot be bothered.

New York is wonderful, even when it is hot and sticky. I have had such a fun time with my brother in NY. We didn't party as much as we did the last time we got together but for some reason, I had way more fun this time around. It was good, getting reaquainted with my brother and the city again.

I hurt Stefan quite often.
Albeit, it's usually by accident. For some reason, I just have this uncanny sense of finding exactly where he has a bruise or cut. Because he plays footy and it's a contact sport, he tends to get bruises or sprains in weird areas and usually I will not even know where it is but more likely than not, I will tend to brush it or touch it exactly where it hurts.
Currently, he has two really scraped knees. Really, really scraped knees where it's totally gross and pussing. He basically has absolutely no skin on either of his knees. Last night, while sleeping and lying side by side, I decided to move my left leg and then managed to mule kick him with my heel on his right knee.
I'M. SORRY. STEFAN. IT. REALLY. WAS. BY. ACCIDENT.
He is threatening to start wearing a jock strap to bed.

I don't know what it is about Air Canada and "rain" but my flight was cancelled last night due to it. So, I was stuck in NY for another day. Boo Hoo, you're thinking. But really, I needed to be back home to do a slew of work plus with Stefan leaving so soon....

My brother has some oversized posters that he needs to frame and hang.
Friday
"We have to get frames to hang these posters."
"O.K"
"OHMIGOD! These frames are so bloody expensive"
"Whatever"
"You gotta help me hang these posters"
"O.K"
"Do you think these frames come with nails?"
"Hmm...not likely. I think you might need tape to adhere them to the backboard."
Later on that night.
"Are you going to help me put up these posters?"
"Yes, I said I would"
"You're not helping"
"It's 12:30 at night. I am going to bed"
Random shuffling sounds.
"OHMIGOD! This is more complicated than I thought! I think we need tape"
Silence
Saturday Morning
"What are we doing today?"
"I thought we would go to Soho?"
"Maybe the East Village also....When are we going to put these posters up"
"I thought you said we needed to leave soon"
"We do! Let's go!!! What 'bout the posters?"
"Geez, Ken! That's what Sunday is for"
Thank God, I only see him once in awhile.

O-M-G!
My brother is so freaking anal. He has refolded his new sheets about 10 times already and they still don't look right to him. He said," Can you imagine what it would be like working for me?"
"I would hate it."
"Me too. I make people change their fonts in their reports if I don't think it's pretty enough."
Sheesh, Ken! You work at a bank. Why the heck does it need to be pretty? I thought I was anal. I guess analness just runs in the family.

Ken and I have been having a very fun time hanging out. It's been so long that I seem to have forgotten how bloody funny he can be at times. Also, realizing that when you're close to family, you can just say absolutely nothing and it never gets uncomfortable.

Gah! The finger is totally festering and pussy now. Joy, o joy.

So, here I am at my brother's place in Hobokken, New Jersey. We haven't seen each other in months and here we are completely ignoring one another while surfing the net and throwing flippant, sarcastic and caustic comments to one another. Now, he's just watching DVDs that he has and forwarding them to his favourite scene and then goes to the next one. I am surrounded by weirdos. Does that mean I am a weirdo?
Boy, I've really missed him.
Isn't family grand?

Somehow, on my way to NY, I managed to rip off an inch of skin off my pointing finger of my right hand. My co-workers were teasing me when I told them that I needed to stop by a new Duane Reade. I always tend to forget the most mundane things and tend to end up there.
But really, I had to change my bandaid twice during an hour flight and I am thinking, that's not so normal, right? So, I decided to try the liquid bandaid stuff because I know the open wound needs to breathe and get nature's bandaid (aka a scab) but it hurt when something touched it.
Anyways, the disclaimer said “No sting” and let me tell you, it bloody well stung!! So now the skin around the wound is puckered and waterproofed but I am not so sure about the actual wound as it's still bloody stinging so I'm not really letting anything near it. If it still hurts tomorrow, I am just slapping an old school band aid on it and living with it for the rest of my life because I AM A BIG WIMP.

Is there something about NY and I? We love one another, don't we? And yet there are always issues? Sitting in the plane and getting all comfy. Just, waiting for the plane to take off so that I can iPod it to sleep when the head stewart person gets on and announces that NY is not receiving any flights due to bad weather in Philly. Like the last time wasn't bad enough. Now, we're sitting here like sardines at the mercy of the traffic controllers over there. At least, there's bloody air conditioning.

Happy Birthday to Lia, my star girl! She, who has always shared the same love of food as me. I only wish she wasn't such a Glamazon! She always complains about her long legs. If only we could all have the same affliction. It's funny how you never realize when you meet someone that you'll be friends with them for so long. I am so glad that Lia is one of those friends....
Something new that I learnt about Lia. She only celebrates uneven birthdays as she doesn't like uneven numbers. Big Weirdo! She'll be nursing a massive hangover tomorrow....
I really wish that my drink of choice right now wasn't jagermeister and red bull! Now, I am going to be up all bloody night!!

Sometimes when I am bored, I am just so bloody irritating... I am at Stefan's office asking random questions and if he wasn't such a saint, I am sure he would have choked me by now.
Maybe, it because I have been working so hard these past few days. Part of it has to do with the fact that Kelvin and Irene are in London right now. Stef's brother and sister-in law live there as well. I just want them all to be safe.
Part of it has to do with the fact that I am just an irritant at times. But before you call the kettle black, realize that we all get like this once in awhile....
Stef is a saint...

Yes! It is finally Thursday, which means it is one day closer to Friday, which means that I can finally have some respite from WORK! I don't know why but I am a consumate workoholic. I honestly think that I was raging Catholic in my former life as I have this weird guilt complex, or so that is what my Catholic friends keep telling me. Once again, I am caught in the vicious cycle of working extra hours doing things that I think will make a difference and really it doesn't because no one is there to see it, so no one knows.

Maybe it's the Asian "don't ask, don't tell" thing but no one ever talks about issues as much as they really should. It's also a generational thing, I think because we definitely talk more now about things than we used to. But there is something that we still don't really talk about in my family. My mother is a hard core addict and I hate to say it but we tend to indulge her with her addiction. I think it's because it's much easier to keep her happy than to hear her cry about things.

OK, I was thinking about this last night, while sweating and uncomfortable. People must think I am the worst whinging so-and-so when I keep on complaining about the heat. I think I should clarify the situation.
For some reason, our apartment has absolutely zero air circulation in the summer time. Being on the top floor of a flat roof building with large loft-size windows all compounds the heat factor. You know, heat rising from below and heat pounding from above. Even with all windows and doors open, fans going at full tilt plus a/c running, it is still always 15 degrees hotter in the apartment than it is outside. The only room where it's not unbearable is the bedroom as that is where the a/c is -- but it's not as if that room is cold at all. For some reason, our a/c is not working as well this year so it simply makes it just barely tolerable. And yes, I am one of those dreadful people that leaves their a/c on all day.
I have to because, if I don't, my fat furry cat would seriously die from heat exhaustion and that is something that I simply could not bear.

GAH!! For some reason, the uploader thing on Movable Type keeps crashing and is causing me SO much grief!! Stefan will have to shrink some of my pictures down tomorrow as they are too big. Just so you know (Mum and Dad!!) if you click on the pictures, (most of them lately) will link you to a slideshow. Cool, huh? Love that Flickr!! I must go to bed now or I might end up killing something, either Stef or the giant fly that managed to come in and is buzzing around and driving me CRAZY!!

So, I managed to get back just in time for the long weekend. New York is always fun but is not so much fun when experiencing the heat wave that we have been having right now. Your feet get disgusting and dirty and the rain just brings up the wonderful odour of tar, crap and garbage. But then, there are are wonderful things like Forever 21 where you can find a totally cute skirt for $12.
