New York, New York

New York is wonderful, even when it is hot and sticky. I have had such a fun time with my brother in NY. We didn't party as much as we did the last time we got together but for some reason, I had way more fun this time around. It was good, getting reaquainted with my brother and the city again.

You have to love a place that has nail salons on every block, they include a massage with your manicure or pedicure and you can get your nails done until 12 at night! And the food! Forget about it already. I love the architecture and the history of the city. I love all the little vendors in Soho and the village. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Apple Store in Soho.

But what I love the most are the people. People of all shapes, sizes and origins and trying to make it in the big, bad city. Some make it and some don't but it's the journey that they all take and everyone has a story to tell. And as much as everyone thinks it's this insanely large city where no one gives a fuck, there are pockets of people who are curious, eager about life and willing to share.

Part of me would love to move but there is the other part that knows that I would hate it. I don't like places that have no green spaces. I don't like crowds. I don't like dirty and smelly. I don't like the certain meanness that has to be there for people to truly succeed in the dog eat dog world. So for now, this is where I am.
