Love U2

U2 is such an incredible band and we were lucky to get to see them perform live tonight! There were many, many touching and beautiful songs played. Their body of work has been remarkable, musically and politically, hence the many remarkable songs that evoke so many powerful feelings.

U2

My favourites were "One" (of course! Only one of the greatest love songs of all times), "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" (moving tribute for his dad), "Sunday Bloody Sunday" (It's funny how that song after all the years, is still so relevant today especially in these times) but my favourite performance was "Miss Sarajevo".

Bono started off by saying,"What a strange year, we're like lovers living in a dangerous time. What a strange year, all the devastation in London, Turkey, Egypt....We have a song to dedicate to this time and we'd like to turn it into a prayer tonight and the prayer is that we do not become a monster in order to defeat a monster..." Then Bono sang while the UN declaration of human rights was shown on the screen. Their performance was spine tingling.

There aren't enough words sufficient to describe the feeling so I am just going to say the concert was really incredible, made more so with the company of Stef, Ben, Jen, Jen and uberfan, Kevin.
