Early Christmas Present!

present

I am not really sure who started the whole box-exchange-gift thing but I am quite sure it might have started with Marie. Our boyfriends have never forgiven us since for continuing on this vicious trend.

Marie and I exchange gifts through the post. We have a rule about how big the boxes can be and we try to cram as much as we possibly can into them. I look forward to my boxes with much anticipation. The boxes usually consist of a bunch of "big" item gifts and a bunch of miscellaneous funny gifts. It's always laugh out loud, pee-in-your-pants good fun and for however long it takes to go through the box, I feel for that brief time, like a 5 year old all over again.

DISCLAIMER: Some parents or underage children might feel a little uneasy with content after the jump. Do not read further if this might bother you.

Anyways, this is what I got in my Christmas goody box.
present
A new ROOTOTE with a bird print
(Marie and I have a thing about birds, not quite sure why) These totes are the perfect size for that Saturday afternoon of walking around and the perfect book carrying tote.

Cute boy-short inspired underwear.

C. O Bigelow Tinted Lip Balm
These are unbelievable lip balms. If you are ever in NY, you MUST go to the store.

Bird stickers

A tiny plastic bear

A toy for Mindy

A lump of chocolate coal for the boy

A bunch of CD's (Stars, Ms. Dynamite, Metric, Franz Ferdinand)

A personal library kit

Birds Without Wings by Louis de Bernieres

Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins

Going For The Bronze: Still Bitter, More Baggage by Sloane Tanen
SO FREAKING FUNNY! It should explain the chick in one of my Flickr pictures.

Position of the day: Sex Every Day in Every Way by Nerve.com

This last gift is SO FREAKING FUNNY! Made even funnier by Marie adding her own little notes on "special days" such as birthdays. If you have never seen this book, you simply have to look for it. It really is gut spillingly funny. I was following Stef around (like I did Marie) for the first 5 minutes after receiving the gift, trying to show him all the notes and also the more ridiculous positions. Stefan kept on saying I was crazy.

Anyways, I have been bad and Marie's gift box was just finished today. Unfortunately, I cannot post pictures of it because she reads this blog regularly and will give her an idea of what she got. I'm just thinking how much she will laugh when she gets my box. Or boxes. I had bought some tiny presents for her co-workers so I needed to send her two boxes instead. It's violating the one box rule by a little bit but I think when she receives it, she'll forgive me.

What the heck am I going to do for her birthday for March? I simply must start planning now.

Look at how ridiculous that last position is! That's for January 27th if anyone is interested in testing it out.

That book/calendar? is too funny! Hey, my mom's birthday is coming up in February, maybe...??? Nah, dad's already had a heart attack or two, maybe not such a gift for him?

Maybe not so much for parents. My mum would have a heart attack and I think my dad has stopped reading my blog to avoid getting a heart attack. But it would be a hilarious gift for friends and boyfriends....
