I had the worst experience today registering my gifts at The Bay. Unfortunately in Canada, they are the only thing going in terms of having everything you need for the home. We had initially gone to the one on Queen Street, since they were the largest location and I felt that they would also have the best selection.

What a mistake!

The woman we encountered was so unbelievably rude to us and told both Stefan and I, that they could not accomodate us, despite the fact there were all these attendents there just making personal calls on the phone. Out of spite, we decided not to register at the store.

However, we soon realized that we had to simply because we knew that there were friends who wanted to purchase us things, and we needed to give them the easiest option to do so. We then headed to The Bay on Bloor Street and they were incredibly nice and polite about it. Unfortunatey for us, it was also a smaller location and many of the items were limited or on sale. Stefan and I had an excrutiating experience just picking out six measley items.

I wish Caban had a registry because The Bay is such a dated, old fogey store and really not us at all. We were basically trying to get essentials that we thought we needed. Marie said she was so ashamed that I, a professional shopper could come up with such a list. So, I decided to come up with another list, not one that I would ever expect my friends to buy. It's kind of like a, "these are the items that I wish were in a store here that offered registry" list.
