Sometimes having your brain twin on the other side of the country is very inconvenient. Marie and I have to schedule our phone calls around our different time differences, and debate ideas on things especially fashion and design through pictures and email.

I've been working on decorating ideas on a soon to be revealed surprise and am having a bit of a harder time having no female perspective other than my own. The boys around me are like Stef and tend to like the modern European clean look. I like to mix it up a little with quirk and vintage. Since time and money is tight, it leaves me with very little options. I can't really go antiquing or garage shopping.

So, I've decided that I'll add accent pieces until I have more time to really look around. I don't understand why she can't just come out here for a weekend. The excuse that she's due for her first baby (my already beloved Mernie!) in three weeks isn't really flying with me. Well, I guess it is a good excuse but I am still sad she can't be here in person.

My favourite alternative is to go to Urban Outfitters for the look I'd like to achieve. Unfortunately, Vancouver doesn't have one (gasp! Isn't that terrible? But we don't have Anthropologie either....such a heartbreaker...and a money saver) and so I have had to resort in taking covert pictures because for some reason taking pictures of their stores is a no-no. This is where my little Nokia 6682 comes in handy. I've never used my previous phones' camera functions before because the quality was always shady. But I think the pictures taken here are rather good for a phone. Here are some other cool pictures I've taken with it so far. It's definitely really handy to have around in situations like this.
