More Thoughts On Clean Houses

I have a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks (Woo Hoo! Christina and I will officially be the same age then). I have been thinking about my last entry. It's SO nice that so many people commented, via email and comments about how much they liked our space. It's always the same old story where you don't appreciate what you have. You know how when you have a space that you have had for awhile, you forget why you loved it in the first place? I've been feeling it lately when our place was the "One Big Pile." Even before I posted the last entry, some friends (as I had been contemplating moving) reminded me that they wanted to be the next one to take over our space.

Anyway, about a year ago, Stefan's office bought one of these and I just thought it was just one of those things where boys just wanted new technology. Until he brought it home as I wanted him to sweep the floors. Mindy, our little love, is unfortunately also a bit of a dirt devil. Despite the fact that she's a short haired cat, there will still be tumbleweeds of her hair every three days or so. Little Roomba totally cleaned our floors while we were away, letting it's little microchip sense our walls and furniture. Mindy, on the other hand was not so impressed with it and punched it as soon as it had stopped moving.

A friend once told me that as a wedding present, her parents were given cleaning service for life from one of their in laws. Her mother said that it could be one of the many reasons why their marriage has lasted so long because they wouldn't have to worry about the little things. I don't really need cleaning service for life (although it would be really nice and I am putting it out there), all I want for my birthday is a Roomba of my own.
