Happy Birthday, Kelvin

My Baby Bro and I
I love this picture of us. I think this picture really portrays many aspects of our relationship together. Although he is older, he was always more my partner in crime in all sorts of shenanigans. If there was some prank to pull, a misdeed to be done, he was always there with me. It also helps that he has such an utter baby face. Even now when he's done something bad, he can just look at you with the most innocent expression,"Who, me?" and you just forgive him.

The big brother part comes in the absolute support that he's always given and continues to give me. I've always felt in my life, that Kelvin is my one constant fan. He's always saying how I'm so awesome, even when I know I'm not. And it's really lovely to have that kind of support always.

When Kelvin got married, I had jokingly said in my speech to Irene that he was hers for good. That if she wanted to give him back, she would have to give us some kind of compensation for him. But really, there is no amount of money in the world that I would take to give him away. He's just a really lovely brother.

He's still so child-like in so many ways and I love that he is so adventurous in trying new things - New food? New activity? New game? Bring it on! For instance, he decided this year that he wanted to go to London, UK for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. And so, off he went. I know that even when he's ninety, he'll still be the youngest one at heart.

Happy Belated Birthday, Kel!

Thanks, Karen! You're always awesome. Sometimes you forget and it's my job to remind you how awesome you are... :)
