What's Up, Toots

So. Seriously.

What is up with guys? This is the fifth day in the row where guys have tried some lame ass random pick up lines on me. I am sure when I am in my nineties, I will look back on this, touch my ass with one finger, make a hissing sound through my teeth and think," Oh yeah! I was pretty hot back then."

However, for now this type of stuff just really annoys me. This whole part of guy behavior just really bewilders me. I left a footy function early tonight and decided to get pizza (my regular ritual need for food after some drinking) and literally in a span of half a block, was given some lame ass pick up line by three groups of guys. The lines used were - Hey baby! Where you going?, Hey sugar...lookin' good in those boots and What's up, toots. Toots? What the heck is a toot?

The thing is, do these guys really think I am going to turn around and say,"Yeah. That was SO hot. Fuck me now?" I don't know. I am pretty sure they don't think that, so why even bother wasting the oxygen to say it?

It just brings me back to the good (bad) old days of dating and when guys got really aggressive and nothing but a phone number would appease them, I would either give 382-5968 or 277-4653. If you haven't figured it out, one spells FUCK YOU and the either spells ASS HOLE. My sincerest apologies to those who actually own those numbers. You may not have known then, but you were doing a great service to me.

I don't really know why it bugged me so much tonight. I usually ignore it and blithely go along my merry way. I think a lot has to do with the fact that as each day passes by without my wedding ring, I feel a little more vulnerable. When I am with Stef, it doesn't seem so bad but by myself, it feels a little weird. And I never thought that I would really feel so attached to it. I miss my blinger.
